Event Info
The two day event is open to clubs & schools from around New Zealand & the world, with 5 grades from U10 – U15, with games played during the day & under lights in the evening.
The objective of the NZ Junior Sevens is to give junior players the opportunity to experience sevens, compete against clubs & schools from around NZ & the world, with an emphasis on sportsmanship & enjoyment of rugby.
The Taranaki Rugby Union is a supporting partner of the NZ Junior Sevens Tournament, the event will be held at Yarrows Stadium, home ground of the Taranaki Bulls, the stadium has also hosted All Blacks, Chiefs & Hurricanes.
The tournament will also feature food trucks creating an exciting festival atmosphere for junior rugby players & parents.

Player Eligibility
Players must meet the age and weight restrictions in each grade (contact us if you require information on weight & age dispensations, special rules apply for Heartland Unions), players don’t need to be registered with NZ Rugby to participate (age eligibility is under the respective age at the 1 of January 2019).

Team Registration
The cost for this years tournament is $35 per player, a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 players per squad is recommended.
A deposit of $100 is due within 7 days of event management confirming your teams place in the tournament draw.
Confirmation, payment details, team sheets, draws & more information on the event will be sent via email, your place in the draw is secure once the deposit has been paid.
All players will receive a free event T Shirt, drink bottle & bag.
